I attempted at a DIY acappella and couldnt seem to get rid of the acoustic guitar or the strings in the chorus, so that stuff is cleary from the original
thanks. well you need a program to record music or create music on your computer, and the acapella (vocals) of the song you want to remix. make sure your music is the same tempo as the original song of course.
in this case i had to create my own acapella. its complicated to explain how and why it works...but pretty much if you have a song and copy of the intsrumental, if you invert one of them and play them on top of eachother, the music in the instrumentals cancels out the music in the original song and you are left with the vocals.
a lot of times ("Stand By Me" being one of those times) the instrumental may have very slight differences in it depending on all sorts of things, so everything doesn't always get canceled out.
